Holiday Closure & Garbage Collection
During the upcoming holiday season, Town Offices will be closed on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at noon, reopening to the public on Monday, January 5, 2026 at 8:30 am.
There will be no waste collection on Christmas and New Year’s Day. Place all garbage, Blue Boxes and Greens Bins at the curb one day later following Christmas and New Year’s Day. Season's greetings, Merry Christmas to those who celebrate, and an early Happy New Year!
The purpose and effect of the amendment is to decrease the required front yard setback.
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Town of Grand Valley passed By-law 2024-46 on November 12, 2024, under section 34 of the Planning Act, 1990, c.P. 13, as amended,
PURPOSE & EFFECT OF BY-LAW
The purpose and effect of By-law 2024-46, is to rezone the subject property to permit reduced interior side yard and rear yard setbacks to accommodate existing accessory buildings and structures.

Automated Speed Enforcement coming to Grand Valley in 2025.
An automated speed enforcement (ASE) camera is expected in Grand Valley within the next three months.
Grand Valley council is working with Local Authority Services (LAS), the business services arm of the Association of Municipalities of Ontario, and Elovate to implement a two-year pilot program that will see a camera installed in the community safety zone at the school along Main Street in February 2025.
The purpose and effect of the amendments are a consent and zoning by-law amendment to permit a lot line adjustment between adjoining properties. 402287 County Road 15
TAKE NOTICE that on the 8th day of October, 2024, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Grand Valley passed By-law No, 2024-42, pursuant to Section 17 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P. 13, as amended. By-law 2024-42 is a by-law to adopt Official Plan Amendment No. 7 which proposes to make changes to the Town of Grand Valley Official Plan.
In accordance with Section 17, 26 and 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O., C.P. 13, as amended, the Town of Grand Valley invites you to attend an Open House to discuss the proposed changes to the Town’s Official Plan and Zoning By-law No. 2009-10.
