  • Notice of Intention to Pass a By-Law to Adopt the 2025 Budget

    TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Grand Valley intends to pass a by-law to adopt the 2025 budget.

    The meeting at which the by-law will be presented will take place at:

    Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. 

    Town of Grand Valley Town Hall – Council Chambers

    5 Main Street North Grand Valley, ON L9W 5S6

    The budget is being adopted in accordance with section 290 of the Municipal Act, 2001 and notice is being provided in accordance with By-Law No. 2007-56.  If the matter is postponed or considered at a subsequent council meeting, no additional notice will be provided other than the information on the subsequent council agenda.

  • Reduced Load Restrictions (5 Tonnes per Axle)

    Reduced Load Restrictions are in effect as of Monday, March 10, 2025

    The reduced load restriction period typically occurs between March 1 and May 15th dependent on weather and road conditions.  

    Further notice will be provided once restrictions are lifted.  

  • Media Release - Town of Grand Valley Launches Automated Speed Enforcement

    On Tuesday, March 11, 2025, the Town of Grand Valley, in partnership with Local Authority Services (LAS) and Elovate, will start its two-year Automated Speed Enforcement pilot program in the community safety zone along Main Street in front of the elementary school.

    The camera system, the first to be deployed in Dufferin County, will capture vehicle speed data in real time, and then issue speeding tickets to the vehicle owner if speeds exceed the speed limit of 40km/h in our community safety zone.

  • Notice of Passing of a Zoning By-Law - 321339 Concession Road 6-7

    TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Town of Grand Valley passed By-law 2025-16 on February 25, 2025, under section 34 of the Planning Act, 1990, c.P. 13, as amended, 

    PURPOSE & EFFECT OF BY-LAW

    The purpose and effect of By-law 2025-16, is to rezone the subject lands to an Agricultural Exception Twenty-four (A-24) Zone, to permit a reduced front yard setback of 5 m to permit an accessory building. 

    SUBJECT LANDS

    The property affected by this amendment is located at 321339 Concession Road 6-7 (Roll #122600), as shown on the key map attached.

    A copy of the By-law is available for viewing at the Municipal Office, during regular business hours (8:30 AM to 4:30 PM) or contact the Town Planner, Mark H. Kluge MCIP RPP, at mkluge@townofgrandvalley.ca.

    Take Notice the March 11th Regular Council and Special Council - Budget Meeting start times have changed. 

    • March 11, 2025 - Regular Council will begin at 4:00 p.m.
    • March 11, 2025 - Special Council - 2025 Budget will begin at 7:00 p.m. 

    Council Agendas for meetings are posted on the Council and Committee Calendar.

    • Deadline to register to Speak to Council (delegate) is 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2025
    • Delegation requests are to be submitted on the Request to Speak Form.
    • Deadline to submit Public Questions is 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2025 
    • Public Questions may be submitted by email to mail@townofgrandvalley.ca or dropped-off at Town Hall - 5 Main Street, North, Grand Valley.
