Grand Valley Expands its Water Capacity with Well No. 5
The Town of Grand Valley is pleased to open its new Well 5 at Concession 2/3. The 2.8-million-dollar project was funded by the collection of development charges from local developers.
The onboarding of the Town’s fifth well will ensure the Town’s water capacity can accommodate growth until at least 2031.
“I am happy to say the new well will ensure there is drinking water to our current and future residents of Grand Valley” Mayor Soloman stated at today’s ribbon cutting ceremony. Soloman went on to thank James Koetsier and their team at Wellington Construction Contractors Inc, and Ron Alkema and Gord Feniak and team from RJ Burnside and Associates Ltd for ensuring the project came in on budget and on time.
The Town is pleased to be able to provide this increase to the Town’s drinking water to accommodate continued residential and business development in our community. Joe Miedema and his team from Dufferin Water Company Limited will provide maintenance and operations for the enhanced water services.
