Protecting your privacy and your personal data is important to the Town of Grand Valley. The Municipality is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. Most of the information accessible on the Municipality’s website does not require you to identify yourself at all. You may access it anonymously. However, the Municipality does collect personal information about you when you choose to provide it. The Municipality is the sole owner of the information collected on its site. We will not sell, share, rent or otherwise disclose your personal information to any organization or individual outside the Municipality.
The Municipality’s web server logs visitor activity to help manage the website. Information stored in logs does not identify users personally. The log stores the IP address from which the site was accessed, the type of operating system used, and the date and time the site was accessed.
Web Analytics
The Municipality uses Google Analytics to collect data each time a visitor enters the Town of Grand Valley website. Google collects information for the delivery of website statistics and analytics. Please refer to the Google Privacy Policy for more information.
By using Google Analytics with other data and data mining techniques, the Municipality may be able to identify users on an individual basis. However, this is not the Municipality’s intent. Analytics are used by the Municipality to collect statistical data about visitors as a whole and to not identify specific individuals. The Municipality will make all reasonable efforts to ensure that the privacy of all visitors remains confidential and anonymous.
