Support the Grand Valley Public Library

Ways of Giving

Grand Valley Public Library matters more than ever.  As the distance grows between those who have and those who have not, the Library acts as an equalizer.  Our Library enriches the lives of everyone in our community, regardless of age or economic circumstance.  Public Libraries have the power to change lives.   Donating to the Grand Valley Public Library helps us make this impact now and for the future.

Your gift to Grand Valley Library helps the Library serve the community above and beyond what tax-based funding provides.  Thanks to donations from individuals, businesses and foundations, the Library is able to :

  • Share special collections of books and other materials
  • Support those new to technology or without technology resources
  • Create comfortable, welcoming library spaces
  • Provide enhanced services to meet community needs
  • Improve our local history and genealogy resources
  • Offer a range of programming for children, teens, and adults

Make a Gift

Each dollar that you donate will go towards enhancing collections, programs, and services at the Grand Valley Public Library.  Your donation will have an impact on the whole community and will help our Library to be the best it can be.  Every gift makes a difference.

Leave a Legacy

Planned gifts are a vital source of funding for the Grand Valley Public Library, assuring the vitality of Grand Valley's library system for future generations.  Your contribution will impact lives for many years to come.

The simplest way to make a planned gift to the Library is through your will or living trust, by naming Grand Valley Library in your will as a beneficiary.  With a bequest in your will, you can create a future gift of a specific amount of money, an item of personal property or a percentage of your estate.  Bequests can also be arranged so that the Library will be given the remainder of your estate after all other bequests have been paid.

Tribute/Memorial Gifts

Make a meaningful gift in honour or in memory of someone special to you.  Whether you are celebrating a birthday or anniversary, or recognizing a life lived, a tribute gift is a significant gesture that benefits the Grand Valley community now and in the future.  When a tribute gift is made we send an acknowledgement to the honoree or family to let them know you are thinking of them.

Corporate Support

Grand Valley Public Library has always benefited from strong corporate support.  Whether companies are interested in making a significant gift to support programs and services, want to involve their employees in charitable giving or would like to encourage their customers to donate to the Grand Valley Library. Corporate support can take various forms.  Support of a Grand Valley Library initiative will provide a program, service or special project that would not be possible without community corporate sponsors.  Corporate support allows you to maximize your charitable giving and demonstrates your commitment to enriching and improving our community to your stakeholders.
