As of August 3, 2017, the Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians Program (DRAO) was been activated for specific areas in the Town of Grand Valley as a result of the heavy rainfall and flooding on June 23, 2017. The Ministry of Municipal Affairs announced the activation in a provincial news release.
The application deadline for this program was December 1, 2017, and the program is now closed.
