The Town of Grand Valley is a quiet, friendly and safe place to live. It is the result of an amalgamation of the former Township of East Luther, a rural farming area, and the former Village of Grand Valley. The municipality is located within Dufferin County and includes part of the Luther Marsh and Grand River. The Grand River is a designated Canadian Heritage River, and it flows from the northern to the southern boundary. It creates natural drainage for our farmers, and plenty of recreational opportunities for our residents and visitors.
Not only is Grand Valley a great place to live - we're also a great place to visit! The Town is comprised of over 100 local farms which produce beef, chicken, lamb, dairy and grains, some with farmgate businesses for you to enjoy. With over 2000 species of birds, the winding Grand River, and hundreds of acres of farmland along our backroads, the Grand Valley area has been coined Nature' s Playground. With several shops in the heart of the Valley we offer some of the finest food, scenery and fresh air activities. We are located close to Alliston, Barrie, Brampton, Guelph, Kitchener, Orangeville, Waterloo and the Greater Toronto Area via quick access to major highways.
