We're conducting an important Economic Development Survey to gather insights from residents, businesses, and potential investors to guide the promotion of our future Business Park. Your feedback will help attract businesses to our community, create job opportunities, and contribute to the long-term prosperity of Grand Valley.

Why Should You Participate?

By sharing your thoughts and ideas in the survey, you'll be playing a crucial role in shaping the future of Grand Valley’s economy. Whether you're a local resident, a business owner, or someone interested in seeing our town grow, your input is invaluable.

Incentive for Participation:

As a thank you for your time and feedback, we’re offering a chance to win one of three $50 gift cards! The gift cards can be redeemed at any of the local businesses featured on the Town of Grand Valley Business Directory.

How to Participate:

  1. Complete the Survey – It's quick, easy, and completely anonymous. Your responses will remain confidential and will only be used for the purposes of economic planning.
  2. Enter the Draw – Once you've completed the survey, provided your email to be entered into the draw for a chance to win one of the three $50 gift cards.
  3. Stay Tuned for the Draws – Winners will be selected at random during Grand Valley Council meetings on:
    • February 25th
    • March 25th
    • April 22nd

The final day to submit your responses is April 23rd, so don't wait—participate today!

What Happens with Your Data?

The data collected from the survey will be presented to the Grand Valley Economic Development Committee for discussion at their meeting on May 15th. Your feedback will help shape the strategies to attract investment, support local businesses, and ensure Grand Valley thrives for generations to come.

Economic Development

The Town of Grand Valley is committed to helping new and existing businesses grow. Together, our Business Improvement Area (BIA) and Economic Development Committee (EDC):

  • Identify economic development opportunities
  • Encourage business retention and expansion activities
  • Facilitate external business attraction
  • Communicate and collaborate with key stakeholders

Dufferin County has also created an Economic Development Steering Committee. This committee is working to create a contemporary and relevant County-wide economic development strategy with a 10-year outlook, and to implement an action plan with a 3-5 year timeframe. The Town of Grand Valley's Economic Development Committee (EDC) works as an advisory Committee of Council. 

EDC Mandate

The EDC provides strategic direction related to business retention and expansion projects, marketing and communication efforts and research activities within the Town. 

The Town of Grand Valley and its EDC have compiled a list of Available Sites and Buildings and a Business Directory to provide a road map on how to best focus our efforts in Economic Development.
